COMMUNITY

We believe in people who measure their lives by how much they do for others, and we promote the importance of giving back to the communities in which we live and work. Fostering a culture of giving back to help charitable organizations achieve their goals is an aspect of our corporate culture of which our team is very proud. Kinzie and its professionals dedicate their time, resources and expertise to a wide range of worthy causes.

Chicago Public Library Foundation

We believe that libraries are vital to healthy and equitable communities. From Board service to supporting events like the annual Public Library Foundation Awards, Kinzie’s team and leadership are actively involved with CPLF and its mission to accelerate the potential of Chicago’s public libraries.

HFS Chicago Scholars

HFS Chicago Scholars provides financial, academic and mentoring assistance to underserved Chicago inner-city students. Kinzie cares deeply about this organization’s mission and, with several Kinzie team members involved through Board and mentorship roles, we stay actively engaged through annual events like their Leadership Breakfast and “All in For Scholars” poker tournament and fundraiser.

Big Shoulders Fund

Kinzie is proud to support the Big Shoulders Fund, a non-profit dedicated to supporting values-based education in Chicago through scholarships and enrichment, operational improvements, academic programs and leadership development.

"Hanul Family Alliance has been serving the Korean American community for over 30 years and as a Korean American immigrant I have had the honor of serving on the board for 10 of those. Working with our team and volunteers to help Hanul develop into the premiere social service organization within our community has been so rewarding and I look forward to the next decade of service."

"As a Commercial Park Advisory Council member, I am honored to give back to the community where my family gathers and has a safe space to play, attend events and connect with the neighborhood. Being the council’s Communication Director allows me to put my passion and love for the community and its parks into action, as I lead their digital platforms for fundraising and engagement."

"In life, you come across service animals and wonder how much of a difference they can make in a person’s life. My involvement in Canine Companions for Independence (CCI) began on the North Central Region Board and expanded to the National Development Committee. I have grown up with animals and also been involved with health causes. CCI combines two passions that can make real improvements to quality of life for disabled veterans, people with physical limitations, as well as adults and children with other limitations."

"I’m proud to support many incredible organizations, but Chicago Public Library Foundation is particularly close to my heart. I’m an avid reader and spent much of my childhood at my local library. As a member of the CPLF Board of Directors, I’m able to help support neighborhood libraries and accelerate the impact they have on individuals and communities."

Suzanne YoonFounder & Managing Partner

"Supporting HFS Chicago Scholars has been an extremely rewarding opportunity to help promising students with limited financial means attend top Chicago-area schools and achieve their educational goals. As Co-President of the Young Professionals Board, I’m able to offer my time in a meaningful way by contributing to an amazing program and helping invest in the future of so many exceptional children."

“As an Ambassadors Council Member with First Tee of Greater Chicago, I enjoy helping build awareness of the organization as well as volunteering at programs and supporting its mission through fundraising activities. Being a member allows me to give back to the community and make an impact on youth development by introducing the game of golf and its inherent values to young people."

"I am proud to sit on the Ambassadors Board of the Chicago Children’s Choir (CCC). Founded in Hyde Park in direct response to the Civil Rights Movement in 1956, the organization has grown from one choir into a vast network of in-school and after-school programs serving nearly 5,000 students across the city of Chicago. Notably, CCC focuses on building programs that reflect the racial and economic diversity of Chicago. CCC is close to my heart as music has always been an extremely important part of my life – both by providing an outlet as well as a sense of belonging."
