Phil Penton is Managing Director of Portfolio Operations at Kinzie Capital Partners, where he focuses on creating value and growth strategies across the firm’s portfolio. He also serves as Executive Chair and Interim CEO of Arctic Industries.

With more than 25 years of experience as an entrepreneur and operator, Phil has built and scaled businesses across technology, services, and manufacturing. He has a proven track record of driving organic and acquisition-led growth, leading integrations, and positioning companies for successful exits.

Phil is known for building high-performing teams, aligning boards, and instilling disciplined execution that delivers scalable, sustainable growth.

Phil holds an MBA in Leadership & Business Strategy from the University of Illinois. In 2024, he was named a finalist for Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur Of The Year® Midwest Award, recognizing his record of innovation and value creation.

Beyond his professional work, Phil is an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), where he serves as a chapter chair of the Chicago Windy City Chapter. Born and raised in the Chicagoland area, he lives in the western suburbs with his wife of 15 years and their two children.
