Kinzie Capital Partners Announces Peter Schwab as Senior Advisor and Investment Committee Member; Promotes Key Employees

CHICAGO – Kinzie Capital Partners LLC (“Kinzie”), a Chicago-based private equity firm, today announced the appointment of Peter Schwab as Senior Advisor and Member of the Investment Committee along with the promotion of Kaitlyn Li to Assistant Vice President and Hyo Joo Lee to Associate.

Schwab is a longtime counselor to Kinzie and has served as an Advisory Board Member. In his new role, he will continue to assist in the development of Kinzie’s Team, and the Sourcing and Execution of investments. Schwab will also be advising on investment evaluation, assisting the team with transaction execution, providing value-added oversight to portfolio companies and helping the team with strategy execution.

Peter brings over 40 years of experience in Mergers and Acquisitions and Advisory Services to his new role. He previously served as Managing Director and a Group Head at Piper Jaffray; Senior Managing Director at  Macquarie Capital in Restructuring , President of Ernst & Young Corporate Finance, LLC (Investment Bank) where Yoon spent the early years of her career; and Head of Consumer/Retail for Capital Advisory also at E&Y.

Additionally, Kinzie announced the promotions of Kaitlyn Li to Assistant Vice President and Hyo Joo Lee to Associate.  “Since joining Kinzie, Kaitlyn and Hyo have been key members of our team focused not only evaluating new investment opportunities, but also supporting Kinzie management with general operational and team development efforts. We know Kaitlyn and Hyo will excel in their new roles and we look forward to the opportunity to watch them grow and develop in the years to come,” said Yoon.

As Assistant Vice President, Li assists in all facets of operations including finance, fund administration and investor relations. Prior to joining Kinzie, Li worked at Baird & Warner where she managed financial reporting compliance and residential mortgage portfolios, focusing on operation enhancement. Additionally, she administered loan warehouse funding and helped manage real estate closing and escrow processes. Li is a Certified Public Accountant, holding a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Loyola University Chicago and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Kennesaw State University in Georgia.

Hyo Joo Lee provides support across investment and operational activities including financial modeling, valuation and analysis and portfolio support in his role as Associate. Previously, he served with the Republic of Korea Armed Forces Defense Security Command as an Open Source Intelligence Specialist. While at Northwestern University for his undergraduate studies, Lee was Kinzie’s first intern. He earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern’s McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science where he was a Murphy Scholar and received the Charles Thompson Senior Design Award for his project with the Lurie Children’s Hospital’s Clean Room team to optimize staffing and forecast demand prior to hospital expansion. Hyo is currently a CFA Level II candidate.
