Crain’s Chicago Business named Kinzie Capital Partners Founder and Managing Partner Suzanne Yoon to their list of 2023 Notable Leaders in Finance. In its inaugural feature, Crain’s recognized finance leaders in the Chicago area for their successes and accomplishments in the last 18 months.
Kinzie is one of few private equity businesses in the nation to be founded and led by a woman and an Asian American. In June of 2023, Suzanne announced the close of the Kinzie’s first institutional fund at $150M in commitments. Last year, she facilitated the expansion of portfolio companies Chelsea Lighting into Chicago and Fort Lauderdale, FL as well as Colony Display into Bartlett, IL. In late 2022, Suzanne and the Kinzie team executed the acquisition of GT Golf Holdings, Inc.
Suzanne was also recognized for her significant civic work supporting emerging leaders in the finance industry, including chairing the National Philanthropic Trust, a donor-advised fund managing $25 billion in assets.
